The capital's Spartak football club was unable to complete the transfer of defender Saul Koko from the Italian team Torino. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Napoli Magazine, negotiations between the clubs ended unsuccessfully and the transfer did not take place.
The Italian club Torino demanded 20 million euros for the 26-year-old player. Spartak was only willing to pay a maximum of 16 million euros for the player.
As a result, the parties could not reach an agreement. Saul Koko has a contract with the Torino team until the end of the 2027/2028 season.
Therefore, the player will continue his career with his current team for now. Currently, Spartak is in 11th place in the Russian Premier League standings.
Under the leadership of head coach Dejan Stankovich, the team will play its next match away against the capital's Lokomotiv team. The club's management and fans hope for an improvement in the team's results.
This season has not been easy for Spartak, but the team is preparing for a number of important matches ahead.
