Yuri Gavrilov, the honorary football player of the Moscow Spartak team, shared his thoughts about his former team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He stated that the Spartak team plays in a distinctive, traditional style, that the players understand each other well on the field, and that they want to delight the spectators with beautiful play and coordinated attacks. According to Yuri Gavrilov, he also wishes for the Spartak team to be among those competing for the championship.
He particularly emphasized that he wants to see Spartak competing for high positions, especially with one round left until the end of the season. For reference, Spartak last won the title of Russian champion in 2017.
At that time, the team was managed by Italian coach Massimo Carrera. Currently, Spartak is in eleventh place in the Russian championship standings and has accumulated four points from three matches.
