The 31-year-old defender signed a two-year contract with Sunderland. He joined the club as a free agent.

Thus, Masuaku became the tenth player to join Sunderland during the current summer transfer window. Last season, Arthur Masuaku played 47 matches for Beşiktaş.

He scored one goal and provided ten assists. According to Transfermarkt, the player's market value is estimated at 3 million euros.
