The match between “Villarreal” and “Barcelona” may take place in the USA. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The clubs have submitted an application to organize their La Liga round 17 meeting in December in Miami. The Royal Spanish Football Federation has approved this proposal.
If the plan is realized, “Barcelona” is expected to earn approximately 5-6 million euros from a single game held in the USA. Last season, “Barcelona” finished first in the Spanish championship, four points ahead of Madrid's “Real” club.
One day earlier, “Villarreal” will host “Real Oviedo” at home. Thus, the new season of La Liga will start with exciting matches.
