France's Lille club has filled the position left by Lyuka Chevalier, who moved to Paris's PSG team, with a Turkish goalkeeper. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The team has signed 25-year-old Berke Ozer. Ozer transferred from Istanbul's Eyupspor club to Lille.
He signed a four-year contract, and the transfer fee is estimated to be around 4.5 million euros. Berke Ozer is a member of the Turkish national team and has played twice for the national squad.
The new player is expected to become one of Lille's key pillars. Additionally, Berke Ozer was developed at the famous Turkish football academy Altynordu.
Notable players such as Çağlar Söyüncü and Cengiz Ünder also emerged from this academy. Ozer's career includes stints at Fenerbahçe, Portimonense, and Ümraniyespor clubs.
Berke Ozer was born in the city of Izmir and was trained at the football school of the same city. His joining Lille will serve to strengthen the club's goalkeeper lineup.
