Viktor Onopko, a member of the coaching staff of the "Rostov" team, compared the working styles of the current head coach Jonathan Albani and the former head coach Valeriy Karpin. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Albani previously worked as Karpin's video assistant and took over the team after his departure. According to the specialist, the playing style has basically remained unchanged: high pressing and the three stages of defense have been preserved, with only slight changes in the way of transitioning.
In attack, after Komlichenko left, Golenkov moved forward. Other aspects have mostly stayed the same, with tactical training sessions now conducted in a less emotional manner.
"Rostov" started the 2025/2026 season with four defeats. The team secured its first victory only in the fourth round against "Pari NN," but lost to the same team in the Russian Cup.
