Timur Kapadze answered the question about Aziz G‘aniyev's return to the national team

Uzbekistan national team head coach Timur Kapadze was a guest on the 90minutuz podcast. Our head coach answered a question about Aziz G‘aniyev, who is currently active in the UAE.

"We thought about Aziz. He is on our list. G‘aniyev has been called up to the national team before; it just might not have fit the tactics of previous coaches. I have been monitoring his games. Firstly, he may not fit the current 3-5-2 tactic. However, in a 4-3-3 tactic, there could be a place for G‘aniyev and other players as well.

Due to the limited time we have, we decided not to utilize G‘aniyev's opportunities this time since he hasn't been called up for a while. If there had been a friendly match, I would have definitely invited Aziz to the camp. I called him up when I was a temporary coach a few years ago as well. I know his capabilities well; he is a strong player," Kapadze said.
