Former Moscow CSKA defender Ivan Taranov commented on Andrey Movsesyan's appointment as deputy general director of the Spartak club in the capital. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The new leader will oversee scouting and the development of youth football across Russia. According to Taranov, Movsesyan worked at the army club for over ten years and proved himself as a qualified specialist.
He believes that in the near future Movsesyan will not try to transfer anyone from CSKA's youth system to Spartak. Taranov said: “It is unlikely that Movsesyan will attract young players from the army club to Spartak in the upcoming transfer window.
CSKA also has a scouting department and specialists working with youth. Therefore, transfers of players from a former club to a rival club are rare.”
Currently, the Spartak team is in sixth place in the league table with 18 points. In their next match, they will face Rostov on October 18.
