"Bayer"da murabbiylar almashinuvi yaqinlashmoqda: Alonso o‘rnini kim egallaydi?
One of the issues that has become the center of attention in European football on the eve of the new season is related to the head coach of "Bayer Leverkusen," Xabi Alonso. There is great interest in who will take over the position of the specialist expected to leave the team management this summer.

Previously, one of the main candidates mentioned was former Spanish star and current head coach of "Como," Cesc Fabregas. However, insiders have reported that Fabregas's salary demands were significantly higher than what "Bayer" offered. Therefore, the club's management was forced to search for a new candidate.

Now, the Leverkusen club has turned its attention to one of the promising specialists in the English Premier League — "Brighton" coach, Roberto De Zerbi. According to information released by the prestigious German publication SportBILD, negotiations between "Bayer" and the 32-year-old Swiss coach are progressing very positively, and the parties are on the verge of an agreement.

De Zerbi is one of the youngest coaches in the Premier League, having taken over the management of "Brighton" at the beginning of 2024. He has collected 52 points in 35 matches with his team, currently standing in 10th place in the league table. Although his existing contract with the team is set until 2027, the "Bayer" management highly values his philosophy and modern approach, expressing a strong desire to see him in place of Xabi Alonso.

Analysts believe that De Zerbi is a good candidate to manage an ambitious team like "Bayer." Despite his young age, his high-level playing style, attention to tactical analysis, and skilled approach to working with young players could be just what the Leverkusen club needs.

Now, all fans' eyes and ears are on the appointment that may be officially announced in the coming days. After achieving excellent results with Xabi Alonso, "Bayer" aims to continue in the same spirit with a new coach. Can Roberto De Zerbi live up to this trust? The answer will be revealed soon.
