The president of Atletico confirmed that Alvarez will not be sold

Enrique Cerezo, president of Madrid's Atletico club, gave a clear response to rumors about the future of the team's forward Julian Alvarez. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Recently, reports have spread about growing interest in the Argentine player from Arsenal and Barcelona clubs. However, Atletico's management stated that they have no intention of letting go of their star.
This was reported by goal.com. Cerezo considers Alvarez one of the key players in the club's long-term project.
"He is our player and has a current contract. He is not for sale," the club president declared firmly.
Thus, the Madrid side announced that they will reject any negotiations regarding the player during the summer transfer window. This season, the 26-year-old forward has scored 14 goals and provided 6 assists in all competitions.
His reliable performance greatly helped Atletico reach the Spanish Cup final and achieve success in the Champions League. Club director Mateu Aleman also confirmed that there have been no talks with other teams regarding Alvarez.
Currently, Atletico is striving to maintain stability within the squad. Although the Alvarez issue has been declared closed, rumors continue around another team leader, Antoine Griezmann.
However, the club management prefers to focus only on the decisive stages of the season for now.
