Barcelona is complaining to UEFA, dissatisfied with the referee's decisions

The match between Barcelona and Atletico, held as part of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, has caused a great stir. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In this uncompromising confrontation between the Spanish clubs, the Catalans were defeated with a score of 0-2. After the match, Barcelona's management expressed strong dissatisfaction with the decisions made by the officiating team and is seriously considering filing an official complaint with UEFA.
A controversial situation that occurred in the fifty-fourth minute of the match raised many questions. Despite Atletico defender Marc Pubill stopping the ball with his hand inside the penalty area, head referee Istvan Kovacs refused to award a penalty.
The fact that Christian Dingert, who was responsible for the video assistant referee (VAR) system, did not intervene in this episode also caused justified objections from Barcelona representatives. The club's management also considers the decision regarding the sending off of Pau Cubarsi to be unfair.
The player, who was initially punished with a yellow card, was later forced to end the game early after receiving a red card following a VAR intervention. Club representatives emphasized that there are no clear criteria regarding when the video replay system should be activated.
In their opinion, Atletico midfielder Koke should also have been sent off for his foul in the first half. According to the Diario Sport publication, due to the mistakes made by referee Istvan Kovacs, he may not be appointed to the remaining matches of the tournament.
This situation has once again sparked heated debates among the football community regarding the quality of refereeing and the use of technology. Both sides have now shifted their focus to the return leg, which will take place on April 14 in Madrid.
For the Barcelona team, this match will become a crucial moment that determines their fate in the competition.
