Our judokas will start fighting for the world podium in Budapest
Today, on June 12, the next World Championship in judo will kick off in the beautiful capital of Hungary, Budapest. This prestigious competition is considered one of the most important and responsible tests of the year for judo teams. More than 550 skilled athletes from 93 countries around the world will test their strength here.

It is exciting that the Uzbekistan national team is also participating in this major competition. Our athletes are ready to step onto the mat for glorious victories. They will face the leading representatives of world judo for medals and ranking points.

On the first day of the competition, matches will be held in the lightest weight categories. Here, the following compatriots will begin their participation:

- In the -60 kg weight category: Bahrom Boturov will first face Mongolian judoka Ariunbold Enxtayvin, and if victorious, he will compete against German representative Maximilian Heyder.

- In the -48 kg women's category: Laziza Haydarova will compete against French athlete Shirin Boukli.

In this weight category, another athlete of ours — Halima Qurbonova will start the competition against Hong Kong's Vong Liga. If she wins, her next opponent will be Belgian Lui Petit.

This championship holds an important place in the history of world judo, and participating on behalf of our country is a great honor. Good results are expected from our athletes in today's competitions.
