Real Madrid delays signing new contract with Vinicius Jr.

Real Madrid and their Brazilian forward Vinícius Júnior are facing an unexpected turn in negotiations over a contract extension, Zamin.uz reports.
While both parties have expressed interest in continuing their collaboration, formal talks on a new deal have temporarily stalled. This situation has sparked growing speculation and rumors about the player’s future.
According to Goal.com, the club’s management and the player’s representatives have agreed to delay official negotiations until after the 2026 World Cup.
Real Madrid wish to avoid placing extra psychological pressure or disruptive negotiations on the attacker as he prepares with the Brazil national team for an influential tournament. However, this decision could bring certain risks for the club.
After six months, Vinícius will gain the right to enter preliminary talks with other clubs. Meanwhile, the possibility of a move to Chelsea has been completely ruled out.
Earlier, the London side was considered one of the main contenders for his signature. The shift in circumstances is reportedly due to the cold relationship between the new head coach at Stamford Bridge, Xabi Alonso, and the Brazilian star.
It is said that during their brief overlap at Real Madrid, the two never saw eye to eye. In particular, tensions flared during a substitution in one of the El Clásico matches, leading to a complete breakdown in their relationship.
As a result, Xabi Alonso has abandoned any intention of bringing the Brazilian forward into his squad. Another serious obstacle in the contract talks is linked to financial demands.
Currently earning around €20 million per season, Vinícius is seeking to raise his salary to €30 million. Although Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez would like to keep the player, the club is not yet prepared to meet such a financial commitment.
Adding to the complexity, there are currently no concrete offers from other top European clubs for Vinícius. Experts speculate that the astronomical offers reportedly coming from Saudi Arabian clubs may be a tactical move by his agents to improve contract terms.
For now, Vinícius is focusing his attention on the national team, aiming to strengthen his position in negotiations through a successful performance at the World Cup.
