Pedro Porro spoke about the debate between Spain and France

The Spanish national team is preparing for the World Cup semifinal with high morale and full confidence, Zamin.uz reports.
Tottenham defender Pedro Porro, speaking ahead of the match against France, acknowledged the opponent’s quality while emphasizing that Spain is also among the world’s strongest teams at this level.
In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Porro said he holds great respect for the French, but stressed that the Spaniards must believe in their own abilities. He added that the opposing team will treat Spain with the same respect.
The footballer noted that focus should be solely on their own game, as Spain’s squad and style of play can pose a serious challenge to any opponent. In the semifinal, Spain’s main task will be to impose their style of play and deny France the freedom to operate.
Porro pointed out that Spain’s recent results reflect how well the team has coalesced, having gone unbeaten in their last 36 matches.
This streak highlights the team’s current stability, ball control, and collective cohesion. Even under intense pressure, Spain’s refusal to deviate from their style has become their key weapon.
By saying everything is in their hands, Porro was not only expressing motivation but also acknowledging the actual balance of power. Spain’s victories in their last two encounters with France have given the team added confidence.
However, the experienced defender understands that the semifinal cannot be judged by past results alone. According to him, each match is a new story, and one must not forget the high caliber of players in the French squad.
The atmosphere in the Spanish camp is upbeat, but there is no room for complacency. To beat France, Spain will need to deliver a near-perfect performance.
France possesses quick players like Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé, capable of changing the game in an instant. Therefore, Spain must maintain control of the ball, avoid leaving space on the flanks, and dictate the tempo of the match.
In the semifinals, even a small mistake can be costly, making team discipline the top priority. This encounter will not just be a clash of two strong sides, but a meeting of two contrasting football philosophies.
