Arne Slot will benefit Liverpool by managing the Netherlands national team

Liverpool FC has reached an unexpected positive outcome in financial matters related to its former head coach Arne Slot, Zamin.uz reported.
It became known that the Dutch specialist's agreement to take charge of his national team brought a profit of several million pounds sterling to the Merseyside club's treasury, according to Goal.com.
According to information published by De Telegraaf, Liverpool's management and Arne Slot reached an agreement under which all legal obstacles to the coach's move to the Netherlands national team were removed. This change allows the Premier League representative to significantly reduce the remaining salary payments owed to Slot.
The main reason is that the coach has officially taken up a new position, thereby partially reducing the club's financial obligations toward him. It should be noted that after Arne Slot left Liverpool, the club was obligated to pay him the compensation stipulated in his contract.
Usually, English clubs continue to pay the monthly salaries of dismissed coaches until they find new employment. However, Slot's decision to begin cooperation with the Royal Dutch Football Association significantly alleviates this financial burden on the club's budget.
Based on initial estimates, Slot's three-year contract with Liverpool was valued at a total of twenty-five million pounds sterling. His salary in the first season amounted to eight million pounds, and this figure increased further after the team's achievements.
With his move to the national team, Liverpool will only need to pay the difference between his new salary and the amount stipulated in the original contract, which represents a significant saving for the club's budget. This situation stands in stark contrast to similar cases in English football history.
For example, after Louis van Gaal left Manchester United, he preferred to remain unemployed for a year in order to receive the full ten million pounds in compensation. Arne Slot, however, chose to maintain professional relations and continue his activities without interruption.
The Dutch specialist had also received a serious offer from another English club — Fulham. London-based Fulham viewed him as the primary candidate to replace Marco Silva.
However, Slot preferred to work with his homeland's national team rather than take charge of one of his Premier League rivals, and he declined Fulham's offer. Currently, the Dutch Football Association is working to fully finalize the appointment process ahead of the Nations League matches against Germany in September.
Liverpool's cooperation in this process has proven beneficial for both Dutch football and the club's budget. After a brief but meaningful period with the Merseysiders, Arne Slot is now preparing to showcase his coaching philosophy on the international stage.
