Moscow "Dynamo" team and Russia national team head coach Valery Karpin speculated on the reason why former "Rostov" striker Nikolay Komlichenko chose the capital's "Lokomotiv" club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
It was previously reported that "Spartak" and "Krasnodar" teams were competing for the player. At the same time, the "red-white" team's coach Deyan Stankovich, as Komlichenko himself admitted, did not allow him to say anything when he called.
According to Karpin, the "Lokomotiv" club may have fought more actively for the player. In the 2024/2025 season, Komlichenko played a total of 37 games in the Russian championship and cup, scoring 9 goals and providing 5 assists.
Additionally, it was reported that the "Railwaymen" paid 3.8 million euros to the "Rostov" club for the player. This transfer gained significant attention in Russian football, and the player is eager to prove himself in his new team.
