Tukmanov: Zabolotniy cannot compete with Ugaldeda
Former president of "Torpedo" Aleksandr Tukmanov spoke in an interview with "Evro-Futbol.ru" about the reasons why the new forward of the "Spartak" team, Anton Zabolotniy, cannot be the main striker. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, Zabolotniy lags behind Ugaldeda in ball handling and game combinations. Zabolotniy is considered to have more individual characteristics as a player.
He shows his strengths — being able to win duels and playing well in the air, but the elements of team play are not as developed. Ugaldeda stands out as a player who can organize a combinational game well.
Tukmanov believes that Ugaldeda will play in the starting lineup, while Zabolotniy will more often come off the bench. This situation is natural, as Zabolotniy is 34 years old, and this is an expected situation for a player of that age.
On July 1, "Spartak" announced that they had signed a contract with 34-year-old Anton Zabolotniy. The agreement between the parties is intended to last until the summer of 2026.
