On Thursday, it was announced that striker Vladimir Pisarskiy has been disqualified for four years following an inspection. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Of these, three years are considered conditional. This decision was made regarding the player's involvement in betting activities.
At the same time, it was determined that Pisarskiy did not manipulate the result in the match between "Sochi" and "Pari NN." He received a red card in that game.
This raises the question: what was the player punished for? Aleksey Stukalov, head of the ethics committee of the Russian Football Union, commented on this matter.
It was revealed that on the day of the match, Pisarskiy sent money to a friend as a debt. The player was aware that his friend intended to bet on that match.
Article 18 of the ethics rules of the Russian Football Union states that football subjects are prohibited from participating directly or indirectly in betting games, gambling, and similar activities. According to Stukalov, Pisarskiy did not exercise caution and participated in indirect betting activities.
This is considered a violation not only of the laws but also of the rules of the Russian Football Union, UEFA, and FIFA. The ethics committee did not find evidence of Pisarskiy's actions having an illegal influence on the outcome of the match.
Additionally, Vladimir's acknowledgment of his mistake was taken into account. Penalties were imposed on the player for violating the norms of football and sports ethics.
Such behavior must not be repeated in the future. Strict measures will be taken to ensure the transparency and fairness of sports.
