Pavel Pogrebnyak called Jerson the strongest in the RPL

The former striker of Zenit, Pavel Pogrebnyak, commented on the level of the new Brazilian player Jerson. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to Pogrebnyak, if Jerson joins and Vendel remains on the field, it will be a significant boost for Zenit in central midfield. He could become one of the strongest midfielders in the Russian Premier League.

Pogrebnyak states that such transfers do not surprise the Zenit team. Jerson is 28 years old and transferred from Brazil's Flamengo to Zenit during the summer transfer window.

For this transfer, the St. Petersburg team spent 25 million euros. Jerson's official debut for Zenit is expected to take place on July 20.
