Israel killed the Iranian intelligence minister in Tehran

Israeli military announced that Iran's intelligence minister Esmail Hatib was killed as a result of a targeted airstrike carried out in Tehran on Wednesday night. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Israeli Defense Forces stated that this operation was carried out by air forces with the assistance of military intelligence. Hatib was described as one of the key figures in the Iranian ruling system.
This was reported by Tengrinews.kz. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed this claim in comments to local media.
At the time of the announcement, Iranian officials had not immediately issued a public statement about Hatib's death. Hatib had been serving as intelligence minister since 2021 and was described by some media as one of the closest officials to Mojtaba Khamenei.
This statement was made amid rising tensions between the two countries. Earlier this week, Israel made another claim, stating that on March 17, an airstrike in Tehran killed Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, and Basij commander General Gholamreza Soleimani.
Later, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian confirmed Larijani's death and promised severe retaliation. The latest announcement may further escalate the conflict between the two sides.
Because Iran has indicated that new attacks against Israel may be carried out in response to the killing of high-ranking officials. The events may negatively affect security and stability in the region.
