Former "Spartak" football player Mienti Abena commented on the lack of playing time at the capital club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The defender stated that he does not know the reasons for having played only seven games in the Russian Premier League. He emphasized that accepting this situation is very difficult.
"For me, it's like losing my mind. I remember the game against Rostov well.
I think everything was going well in those games. I am confident that I could have maintained my level in the next games," Abena said in an interview with "Sport-Express."
The footballer expressed his respect for Deyan Stankovich's decision but noted that moving to "Spartak" has turned into a disappointment for him. It is worth mentioning that this summer, "Spartak" terminated the labor contract with Abena.
In the red-and-white kit, he played in 12 matches but could not stand out with any effective actions. This event became one of the significant turning points in the player's career.
He also stated that he strives to demonstrate himself better in the future.
