The Torpedo team has been expelled from the first division of the Russian championship for attempting to organize match-fixing during the spring months. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

As a result, the Orenburg team has been reinstated to the top league. Orenburg had finished in 15th place last season and was relegated to the lower league.

Torpedo will participate in the second-tier PARI league of Russia. This decision was made at a meeting of the executive committee of the Russian Football Federation.
