The new season regulation has been announced on the official website of the Russian Premier League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
It is indicated on the homepage that the regulation was approved on July 9. At the same time, the "Orenburg" team is noted as the 16th participant in the championship.
However, the "Orenburg" team was only included in the Russian Premier League roster on July 11. This was the day after the "Torpedo" team was disqualified from the competition due to attempts to organize fixed matches.
The RPL officials explained the situation as a technical error. The homepage does not indicate that changes were made to the regulation on July 11.
The Russian championship will start on July 18. Thus, the list of participants for the new season has been formed based on the latest changes.
