The Starlink system operates through satellites in low Earth orbit at an altitude of 550 kilometers. This technology provides high-speed internet connectivity with low latency.
It especially enables uninterrupted use of video calls, online lessons, and other digital services for people living in remote and rural areas. Since August 13, 2023, the Starlink service has been officially launched in neighboring Kazakhstan.
There, the Residential Lite package costs 23,000 tenge per month, approximately 43 dollars. The Residential Standard package costs 31,000 tenge per month, about 57.5 dollars, offering higher priority.
According to experts, the introduction of Starlink in Uzbekistan marks a new stage in the development of the country's digital infrastructure and will lead to significant changes in the field of information technology. With the implementation of this service, the population's internet access opportunities will expand and the quality of using digital services will improve.
Additionally, it will help make educational processes and work activities more efficient. Overall, the Starlink project will play an important role in accelerating the digital transformation process in Uzbekistan.
