OpenAI's Sora app has surpassed the ChatGPT app in the number of downloads within a short period. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Appfigures data, in the last seven days, the Sora app has been downloaded more than 627,000 times, while ChatGPT was installed 606,000 times during the same period. This information was published by the Rozetked.me website.
The Sora app is currently available only in the US and Canada through the App Store, and access is granted by invitation only. This means that users receive a limited number of invites.
On the app's first day, the number of downloads was 55,600, which is lower than the first-day results of the ChatGPT and Google Gemini apps. For example, ChatGPT was downloaded 81,000 times on its first day, and Google Gemini 80,000 times.
OpenAI launched the Sora app together with the Sora 2 model, which offers video creation capabilities. The main function of the app is to allow users to share the videos they create with others in the form of social networks.
This new platform serves as a convenient and modern tool for video creators.
