Startup backed by Jeff Bezos announces prices for affordable electric cars

The Slate Auto startup, supported by famous entrepreneur Jeff Bezos and Los Angeles Dodgers owner Mark Walter, will officially announce the prices of its affordable electric vehicles on June 24th of this year. Zamin.uz reported this.
On that day, the company will also begin accepting non-refundable initial orders. According to the plan, the first produced vehicles will be delivered to customers by the end of this year.
Prestigious publications are reporting this information. On Thursday, the company sent special emails to potential buyers, inviting them to join the queue for a payment of fifty dollars.
This payment is crucial for maintaining the queue position during the official pre-order phase, which begins next month with a three hundred dollar fee. Slate Auto management had previously promised that prices would be announced in June, and the updated information section confirmed this plan.
The company, which has a four-year history, revealed its closed projects in April of last year. Slate Auto aims to create a modern vehicle that is free of excessive luxury, simple, and allows various parts to be modified according to the customer's wishes.
Initially, it was said that the price of the base model would be under twenty thousand dollars, but due to the cancellation of federal tax incentives, the final price is expected to be around twenty-five thousand dollars. To date, more than one hundred and sixty thousand customers have made the fifty-dollar refundable payment.
To ensure efficient management of the company, former Amazon vice president Peter Farisi was appointed CEO in March of this year. To date, the Slate Auto enterprise has managed to attract a total of one billion four hundred million dollars in investment.
The majority of these funds come from a large investment firm owned by Mark Walter.
