Yandex announced the "Neptun" smart security system

Russian internet giant Yandex, in collaboration with the "Neptun" brand, has announced a new security system designed for the "smart home" ecosystem. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This innovative solution serves to prevent material damage in the event of accidents related to water pipes in the home. The system not only detects water leaks but also has the ability to shut off the water supply without the homeowner's involvement.
The new system is fully integrated with Yandex's "Home with Alice" program. If a flood occurs in the apartment, the sensors immediately signal, and the smart valves close automatically.
The user receives a push notification, an SMS, or a voice alert via Yandex Station. This is of particular importance in preventing major losses when no one is at home.
One of the main advantages of the system is the ability to control it by voice. Users can remotely turn the water off or on using the Alice voice assistant.
Additionally, there is an option to create special scenarios for various life situations. For example, when the command "Alice, we're leaving" is given, the system can not only turn off the lights but also automatically close the water valves for security.
At the same time, the developers have taken daily needs into account. For instance, the sensitivity of the sensors can be temporarily limited via the command "Alice, I'm mopping the floor."
This prevents the system from triggering incorrectly as a result of water touching the sensors during floor cleaning. Such flexibility makes using the system more convenient and efficient.
The new protection system is offered in three different configurations depending on the users' needs. The basic set consists of a control module, two valves, and wired and wireless sensors.
The optimal set comes with an additional wired sensor and an uninterruptible power supply. The maximum set includes four sensors (two wired, two wireless) as well as hot and cold water meters.
A unique feature of the system is that it can operate autonomously for up to 30 hours using the uninterruptible power supply even if the electricity goes out. Furthermore, the main functions continue to work even when there is no internet connection.
The water meters send readings directly to the mobile app, which simplifies the monitoring of utility payments. At a time when interest in "smart home" technologies is growing in the Uzbekistan market, such an expansion of the Yandex ecosystem is expected to be relevant for local users as well.
The system is produced in versions designed for half-inch and three-quarter-inch pipes. The starting price for the full system is approximately 35,990 rubles.
The price of the separate control module has not been announced.
