It was one of the cold days of winter. A woman went to the market and bought food for her children. Although she was tired, she returned home holding her bags tightly.
On the way, the woman saw a small child. He was not wearing thick clothes and was shivering from the cold. The woman approached the boy and looked at him with a warm smile.
– Little one, is someone waiting for you? – the woman asked.
The boy shook his head.
– Where is your mother?
The boy looked down at the ground and whispered:
– My mother is not here…
The woman's heart ached. She gave the boy her coat and gloves. Then she took him to the market and treated him to hot food.
Years passed. That boy grew up to be a good person. He never forgot the kindness of that unknown woman.
A mother's love should reach not only her own child but also every child in need of love.
