The President received the US delegation
On March 17, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received a delegation led by Carol Miller, a member of the United States Congress and participant in the parliamentary caucus on cooperation with Uzbekistan.

Issues related to further developing and expanding the strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the USA were discussed.

Before the meeting, the parliament member conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the US President, congressional leadership, and members of the caucus on Uzbekistan to our country's leader.

The significant achievements in bilateral cooperation at a high level were noted with great satisfaction. Active political dialogues and inter-agency exchanges are ongoing. In recent years, the volume of trade and investments has increased several times, and business cooperation is strengthening.

Webster University and the American University of Technology are operating in Tashkent. Additionally, mutually beneficial cooperation is being implemented in priority areas such as transport, customs, migration, culture, and others.

Carol Miller highly appreciated the results of the reform strategy being implemented in New Uzbekistan, including the modernization of the economy, strengthening democratic institutions, primarily the parliament, and ensuring gender equality.

Particular attention was paid to expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation to support and promote economic and investment projects, including those in mining, industry, energy, and agriculture.

The importance of establishing partnership relations between the regions of Uzbekistan and the states of America was noted.

Opinions were also exchanged on pressing issues on the regional agenda and the situation in Afghanistan.
