A decree has been signed by the President regarding additional measures to ensure the continuity of the production process on agricultural lands and to increase the efficiency of land resource usage. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Based on this document, regional authorities are expected to accurately account for idle land plots and ensure their productive use. Additionally, the system for re-leasing lands allocated for agriculture will be improved.
According to the decree, tenants using agricultural lands will have the right to sublease a certain portion of the land allocated to them to other individuals. Landowners and users will also have the opportunity to convert their land use and ownership rights into lease rights based on decisions of the district or city councils of people's deputies.
In accordance with the new rules, when ownership and usage rights of land are converted into lease rights, the term is set at 30 years for citizens of Uzbekistan and legal entities established by them, and 25 years for enterprises involving foreign investments. This decree is considered an important document adopted to ensure the efficient use of land resources, maintain uninterrupted production in agriculture, and create new opportunities for farmers and entrepreneurs (source: zamin.uz).
