Rules regarding bank cards have been updated in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Amendments to the "Rules for the issuance and circulation of bank cards" introduced by the Ministry of Justice have been officially registered. These updates aim to simplify the use of bank cards, expand their types, and adapt them to modern requirements.
One of the most important changes is the introduction of a business bank card. This card allows individual entrepreneurs and self-employed citizens to conveniently manage their income.
From now on, it will be easier to manage personal and business expenses within one system. Additionally, the social bank card also deserves special attention.
Through this card, citizens will be able to securely and quickly receive pensions, financial aid, and other social payments. The process of controlling funds will also be simplified.
The new rules have also defined the procedure for previously issued personal bank cards. Now, such cards will be activated by verifying the user's identity through mobile applications.
This makes using banking services even more convenient and secure. Comfortable conditions have also been created for young people.
Now, teenagers aged 14–18 can independently open a bank card. Children under 14 can open a card with the consent of their parents or legal representatives.
This change serves to increase the financial literacy and independence of young people. Innovations have also been introduced for legal entities.
Now companies can make payments for drinking and wastewater services through corporate bank cards. This will facilitate the automation of accounting and the regulation of financial processes for companies.
These changes aim to digitize banking services, expand the payment infrastructure, and deliver services to the population in a convenient manner. These rules create new opportunities for citizens and entrepreneurs, significantly improving access to financial services.
