The Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan announced that the wage system for overtime work in the country has been revised. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the new procedure, for the first two hours of overtime, the wage will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate, and for the subsequent hours, this amount is set at twice the regular rate. Previously, according to the existing laws, overtime wages were required to be paid at least twice the regular rate.
Now these rules have been changed. Additionally, the annual limit of 120 hours for overtime work stipulated in the Labor Code has been abolished.
These changes are aimed at making the management of employees' labor more flexible and efficient. Furthermore, new opportunities have been provided to private employment agencies.
They can now independently organize courses for teaching professions and foreign languages. Also, agencies have gained the right to earn income by placing their reserve funds in bank deposits and freely manage these funds.
These changes are intended to further modernize the labor sector and increase economic activity. Source: Zamin.uz
