
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi reached an agreement during talks held in Tokyo to establish the first Uzbek-Japanese university in Tashkent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This project will be implemented with the participation of Tsukuba University, one of Japan's prestigious higher education institutions. The new university will operate in Tashkent and will be the first joint educational institution between Uzbekistan and Japan.
At this institution, specialists will be trained in modern fields such as engineering, information technology, applied sciences, and management. Additionally, special attention will be given to practical training, academic exchange programs, and joint activities with Japanese universities.
As a result of this project, it is planned to train highly qualified personnel in Uzbekistan, develop scientific cooperation, and introduce Japanese standards into the higher education system. The agreement to establish this university is an important step towards strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan.
