
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the State Hermitage Museum during the informal meeting of the CIS heads of state held in Saint Petersburg. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Together with other heads of state, the President closely examined the exhibitions of this cultural institution, which is considered one of the largest museums in the world. During the visit, the guests toured the halls of the Main Museum complex, which reflects important stages of Russian and European history as well as artistic heritage.
The delegation leaders visited the Alexander Hall and viewed an exhibition of unique items made of artistic silver. They also visited the Picketers Hall and the Coats of Arms Hall, where ceremonial events are held.
During the visit, the guests also became acquainted with the legendary "Peacock" mechanical clock located in the Pavilion Hall of the Small Hermitage, as well as the Golden Treasury, which houses valuable items. These exhibits aroused great interest among them. Throughout the visit, issues of strengthening cultural ties, preserving historical heritage, and developing humanitarian cooperation among the CIS countries were discussed.
