Comprehensive reforms will begin in 2025
Starting from January 1, 2025, comprehensive reforms will be implemented in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

These changes will cover areas such as social protection, healthcare, transport, education, digitalization, economy, and construction. Their main goal is to make public services more convenient, efficient, and transparent.

Significant changes are planned in the social sector. Maternity and childbirth benefits will be assigned and paid automatically without citizens having to apply.

The expenses for healthy recreation camps for excellent students from low-income families will be covered by the state. Additionally, interest-free loans will be provided to families wishing to start entrepreneurial activities.

Special centers will be established to develop Paralympic sports. From January 15, population registration activities will begin.

Important innovations will also be introduced in the healthcare sector. The list of free medical services will be expanded for socially vulnerable populations and patients suffering from certain diseases.

Rare and hereditary diseases will be specially registered, and the provision of medicines for children will reach 99 percent. New regulations will be introduced in the transport sector.

An “A1” category license will be required for moped and scooter drivers. Insurance payments will increase, and the practice of selling “fancy” state license plates through auctions will be abolished.

In the city of Termez, a cashless payment system in public transport will be gradually introduced. Education and language policy will also receive attention.

School and kindergarten principals will be incentivized based on their effectiveness. A rule will be introduced that only state language names can be given to newly constructed residential complexes.

An advisor position on state language issues will be established in government agencies. In the field of digitalization, public services will be fully transitioned to an online format.

Paper documents will no longer be required, and notarial services will be simplified. A unified information system will be introduced for gas filling stations.

Measures will be taken to support entrepreneurs in the economy and business sectors. Preferential loans will be allocated for women’s businesses, and subsidies will be provided to entrepreneurs who employ persons with disabilities.

A unified QR code system for electronic payments will be launched. Special attention will be paid to ensuring transparency in construction and public administration.

The height of multi-storey buildings will be prohibited from being changed, and shared construction will only be carried out through special accounts. Local administrations will be transformed into service centers for the population.

Overall, these changes are aimed at easing citizens’ lives and making public services more convenient and transparent. These reforms are an important step for the country’s future development.
