Two Uzbekistan citizens died in construction in Leningrad
As a result of an unfortunate incident at a construction site in Leningrad region of Russia, two Uzbek workers lost their lives. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

During the incident, the workers were killed when a wall collapsed and they were trapped under the construction structures. Additionally, another Uzbek man was hospitalized with serious injuries, and due to the severity of his condition, doctors are taking necessary measures to save his life.

According to preliminary information from local investigative authorities, the deceased were working illegally, without an official employment contract and disregarding safety regulations. It was determined that the construction site did not meet safety requirements, the walls were not stable, and the workers were not provided with protective equipment.

The construction site is currently closed, and investigations are ongoing. A criminal case has been initiated, and the management of the employer company and responsible individuals have been summoned for questioning.

The Russian government is paying special attention to strengthening the control of labor migration. The Uzbekistan Agency for External Labor Migration has stated that they are working to identify the deceased, contact their relatives, and provide necessary assistance regarding the incident.

This incident has caused great sorrow and sympathy in the community. The issue of protecting the rights of Uzbek migrants and creating safe working conditions has once again become urgent.

Every person has the right to work, and this right must be exercised based on legality and safety conditions. It is essential for Uzbek citizens planning to work abroad to have complete information about finding employment through official channels, signing contracts, and the possibilities of diplomatic assistance.
