On July 24, 2025, an An-24 passenger plane belonging to 'Angara' airline crashed in Amur region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The wreckage of the plane was found on the mountainside near the city of Tynda. This was reported by TASS and RIA Novosti news agencies.
It is known that the plane crashed on a mountainside located 16 kilometers away from Tynda. Currently, preliminary investigation work is being conducted at the crash site.
According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, "a Mi-8 helicopter of Rosaviatsiya detected the burning fuselage of the plane." During the rescue operation, the helicopter was unable to land at the crash site, forcing rescuers to proceed on foot.
According to various sources, there were between 46 and 49 passengers on board the plane, all of whom perished. According to the Amur Center for Civil Defense and Fire Safety, no survivors were found on the plane.
The plane was flying from Khabarovsk to Tynda via Blagoveshchensk on July 24. It failed during its first landing attempt, then went for a second round and subsequently lost contact.
Witness videos show the plane flying in the Tynda area. Operational services and the investigative committee have initiated a criminal case regarding the incident.
The investigation is being conducted under part 3 of article 263 of the Criminal Code (violation of safety rules of aircraft operations and use that resulted in the death of three people). Currently, it is being checked whether the crew may have made an error due to difficult landing conditions.
The exact causes of the crash have not yet been determined, but investigators are considering the possibility of violations of international aviation regulations and crew errors. Official statements and videos taken from the crash site are being analyzed by experts, which will help strengthen safety measures in the future.
