Former US President Donald Trump recently announced that he has shortened the previously set 50-day deadline for Russian President Vladimir Putin to resolve the conflict in Ukraine to around 10-12 days. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Reuters reported on this matter. In his statement, Trump expressed that he was very disappointed with Putin and announced the decision to shorten the deadline.
He emphasized that if Moscow and Kyiv cannot reach an agreement within this timeframe, the US may impose strict economic sanctions and tariffs. Previously, Trump had called on Moscow to resolve the conflict within 50 days on July 14.
At that time, he stated that if an agreement was not reached, economic pressure on Russia would be intensified. This statement sparked extensive discussions among international politicians and experts.
Trump noted in his remarks that giving Putin a 50-day deadline was a very generous decision, and the new deadline is significantly shorter. Additionally, Trump recently visited Scotland and is expected to meet with the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer.
In an interview with journalists, Trump stated that there are 10-12 days from today to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. He mentioned that the global community has the right to expect a quick and serious solution to this issue.
