The Russian army continues to push the front line forward. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As a result, the residents of the city of Dobropillia in eastern Ukraine are being forced to leave their homes. Once known as a peaceful and hardworking miners' city, Dobropillia is now under the threat of war.
Among those being evacuated is a woman named Liubov. As she wipes her tears on the bus, she expresses how difficult it is to leave her home, but says there is no other choice.
At the beginning of 2024, the front line was 50 kilometers away from Dobropillia, but today this distance has decreased to 15 kilometers. This makes it difficult to protect the city from kamikaze drones and heavy bomb strikes.
On July 16, two civilians were killed by a half-ton Russian bomb dropped on the city's main shopping center, and more than 20 people were injured. According to Denys Naumov, a representative of the local aid organization "Proliska," the situation has sharply worsened in the last two weeks.
Explosions are also being heard during the evacuation process. During this time, more than 1,250 people have been relocated from the city to safe areas.
Political statements from the international community are not instilling hope among the local population. Although U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he will increase economic pressure on Russia, Liubov does not believe this and says she trusts no one.
So far, the situation in Dobropillia is worsening day by day. The city's residents, especially children, the elderly, and the disabled, are being evacuated to safe areas.
The situation in the region is being kept under control, but there is still no clear hope for peace.
