On August 1, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that the country is ready to deliver two more Patriot missile systems to Ukraine. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, this decision was made based on the international commitments of the United States and is seen as the fulfillment of a promise made by Washington. As Pistorius emphasized, Germany will assist Ukraine with launch devices and may later send additional technical equipment for the Patriot system.
Berlin and Washington have reached an agreement to provide the latest version of the system instead of the Patriot systems delivered to Kyiv. In the coming days, the Bundeswehr will send launch devices for the new Patriot systems to Ukraine.
Within the next two to three months, the technical and electronic components of these systems will also be delivered. This assistance will further strengthen defense capabilities against Russian aggression.
Currently, six out of twelve Patriot systems remain in Germany. Three of them are located in Ukrainian territory, two are in Poland, and one is being used in training exercises by the Bundeswehr and Ukrainian military.
This initiative is an important strategic support for Ukraine, playing a significant role in enhancing the country's air defense and maintaining its sovereignty
