The Russian Ministry of Education opposed the proposal to charge for school education for the children of foreign labor migrants. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Alexander Reut, head of the Department of State General Education Policy and Preschool Education Development of the Ministry, every person residing in the country, including foreigners, has the right to education according to the Russian Constitution. This right is universal and applies equally to all.
Additionally, Yaroslav Nilov, head of the Social Policy Committee of the State Duma, had proposed a bill aimed at depriving migrant children of free education. However, the Ministry of Education did not support this proposal and stated that it advocates for the continuation of free school education for migrant children.
Thus, all children living in Russia, regardless of their nationality, have equal rights and will not be deprived of the opportunity to receive quality education. This decision serves to strengthen the principles of social justice and equality in the field of education.
