A large-scale anti-terrorism operation was conducted in Moscow by the special services of the Russian Federation and Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the information from the FSB Public Relations Center, nine foreign nationals were detained for recruiting labor migrants for an internationally banned terrorist organization operating in Russia. This operation was carried out within the framework of cooperation between the State Security Service, the Federal Security Service, and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
According to investigative authorities, the detained individuals were active members of a cell of the international terrorist organization and were in contact with ideological leaders in the European Union. They attempted to recruit migrants living in Russia into their ranks using various methods.
During the operation, law enforcement agencies collected concrete evidence related to recruitment activities. According to reports, they had been actively conducting propaganda work in Moscow until April 2025.
The recruiters organized secret meetings, held video conferences via the Telegram messenger, and instilled radical ideas in migrants. Among the detainees, two individuals aged 38 and 39 were charged under part 1 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and were taken into custody.
During the search process, propaganda materials of the terrorist organization, communication devices, electronic information carriers, and other documents were confiscated. Officials emphasized that such joint operations will continue in the future, and all necessary measures will be taken to ensure security in the Russian territory.
