Israel and HAMAS: War and negotiations continue in parallel
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government announced that it will continue negotiations without stopping military actions against HAMAS. He emphasized that Israel will fight to achieve its war objectives and ensure that the Gaza region does not pose a threat.

Continuing negotiations and war with HAMAS

Netanyahu stated that Israel's strikes on the Gaza Strip are "just the beginning" and that these actions are necessary to free the hostages. According to him, any negotiations with HAMAS will now only take place while combat operations are ongoing.

"I have emphasized several times: if HAMAS continues its policy of rejection and does not free the hostages, we will restart the war. Right now, we have returned to the battlefield with great force," Netanyahu said. He also noted that the Defense Minister, IDF, and security services have proposed to intensify operations against HAMAS. According to him, negotiations will now be conducted "only on the battlefield."

Israel's renewed strikes on the Gaza Strip

After a two-month ceasefire, on March 18, Israel resumed military operations in the Gaza Strip. According to the Israeli government, these strikes are aimed at HAMAS commanders. Recent reports indicate that over 350 people have been killed, including the Prime Minister of the Gaza government, Essam al-Da’ali.

HAMAS accused the Israeli government of putting the lives of the hostages at risk. The UN described Israel's airstrikes as "unacceptable" and assessed the situation as a factor that exacerbates violence.

International relations and the US position

US President Donald Trump issued a "final warning" to HAMAS, demanding the immediate release of the hostages. However, HAMAS rejected this demand, stating that no one would be released until the second phase of the agreement with Israel is reached.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated in an interview with Fox News that President Trump supports "our friend and ally Israel." "President Trump clearly explained that HAMAS and the Houthis are threatening not only Israel but also the United States, and they will pay a price for this," Jean-Pierre said.

The conflict between Israel and HAMAS is deepening, and military actions are intensifying. The international community continues to call for negotiations and peace to resolve this conflict, but the situation is escalating.
