Witnesses reported that the sound of the explosion was heard over a long distance along the beach, causing panic among the vacationers. According to the police's official website, two consecutive explosions occurred, resulting in the death of one woman and two men.
Local residents and vacationers tried to assist the injured until the ambulance arrived. However, due to the strength of the explosion, some victims died at the scene.
Authorities are currently investigating the causes of the incident. It is believed that the mine may have fallen into the water during the ongoing war in the Black Sea.
The presence of explosive materials on the seabed poses a significant risk to tourists. The government is urging citizens not to swim outside safe areas.
