Former Ukrainian statesman and advisor to the President's office Oleksiy Arestovich firmly stated that the country cannot be maintained in its current form. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, Ukraine needs to be destroyed, fundamentally rebuilt, and restored on an entirely new basis. Arestovich believes that simply replacing the president will not improve the situation.
If the political and ideological direction does not change, the state will not be able to achieve development. He cited former military and political leaders, including Zaluzhnyi, Budanov, Biletsky, Razumkov, Poroshenko, and Tymoshenko, emphasizing that they could worsen the situation without changing the existing system.
According to Arestovich, these politicians lack a clear program and are limited to opposing the existing system. The main problem in Ukraine is the country's sharp stance against Russia.
It is said that demographic losses since 1991 have approached the level seen after World War II. The greatest dream of the current young generation is to leave the country and never return.
This process is being supported and deliberately organized by the government. If the current policy continues, any future leader could drag the country into war again.
Arestovich presented two scenarios. In the first, if the authorities act foolishly, within 1-1.5 years, the pensioners will overthrow them from power.
In the second, if a wise path is chosen, time can be stretched, but the system will ultimately destroy all capital. The politician emphasized the presence of pro-Russian forces and radical nationalist groups in the country, but noted that there is no real political group cooperating with Russia.
Therefore, it is necessary to completely renew the power system. Arestovich stated that a new Ukraine should be formed without the territories of the LPR and DPR, as well as the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, which Russia claims as its own.
If Kyiv decides to change its policy, it will not happen without an agreement with Russia. He considers cooperation with China and India to be important.
In his opinion, there is a way even without Western assistance. Kyiv should go to Moscow, Beijing, and Delhi to express its intention for change and ask for their support.
Then the West's resilience against these three countries will be determined. According to the former official, in such a scenario, Kyiv may agree to Russia's conditions.
These conditions include neutrality status, non-alignment with military blocs, denazification, and demilitarization, which serve to ensure long-term peace and cooperation
