Serdar Berdimuhamedov pardoned 321 prisoners on the occasion of Ramadan
The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, signed a decree to pardon 321 prisoners. This decision was made in connection with the Night of Power during the holy month of Ramadan, local media reported.

The activities of the pardon commission were reviewed

The President made this decision during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. A report on the activities of the commission for pardoning prisoners was presented at the meeting.

The Secretary of the Security Council and the chairman of the commission, B. Gundogdiyev, presented the report to the President and provided information about the work carried out in connection with the Night of Power.

The decree was officially approved

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, after listening to the report, signed the decree on pardoning 321 prisoners in accordance with tradition. He also instructed the relevant authorities to expedite the release of the pardoned individuals from prison and return them to their families.

Pardon – an expression of religious and humanitarian values

The decision was made not only based on the religious month of Ramadan but also relying on humanitarian principles. It is reported that among those pardoned are prisoners of various categories.

About previous pardons

It should be noted that in 2024, 356 prisoners were also pardoned on the occasion of the Night of Power. This indicates that pardons during the month of Ramadan are traditionally carried out in Turkmenistan.

The President of Turkmenistan's decision is aimed not only at respecting religious values but also at establishing humanitarianism and forgiveness in society. The release of 321 prisoners is undoubtedly a significant news and hope for them and their loved ones.
