Erdogan: 'Turkey will not succumb to street terrorism'
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that the government will take strict measures against the street unrest occurring in the country. According to him, Turkey will never "succumb to street terrorism," as the country is "not found on the street."

Erdogan criticized the opposition for calling on police officers to participate in protests where injuries occurred. He regarded these actions as attempts against Turkey's stability. The president emphasized that the government will not tolerate illegal protests and unrest.

"Following marginal groups, attacking the police, and threatening judges and prosecutors will not achieve anything in the country," Erdogan said. He claimed that the opposition is causing unrest under the pretext of fighting corruption.

At the same time, the chairman of the Republican People's Party, Ozgur Ozel, announced that he would continue the protests. He called on security forces not to use pepper spray and rubber bullets against the protesters. According to Turkish media, the police are using force against the protesters, but officials deny this.

As a result of the protests, several demonstrators sought medical assistance, and 16 police officers were injured.
