The "Crocus City Hall" incident in Moscow: Conclusion of the Russian Investigative Committee

The Russian Investigative Committee has officially concluded that various state special services were behind the bloody terrorist act that occurred a year ago at the 'Crocus City Hall' concert hall in the Moscow region. Svetlana Petrenko, the official representative of the Investigative Committee, stated that the incident was planned to destabilize the situation in Russia. However, no clarification was provided regarding which state was involved.
How was the terrorist act carried out?
On March 22, 2024, four attackers entered the 'Crocus City Hall' concert hall located in Krasnogorsk, Moscow region, armed with automatic weapons, opened fire on people, and set the building on fire. As a result, 145 people were killed, and more than 550 were injured to varying degrees. This incident became one of the largest and bloodiest terrorist acts in Russia in recent years.
Who is to blame?
According to investigative data, members of an international terrorist organization were involved in carrying out the act. Russian officials have not yet disclosed the name of this organization. However, it is reported that the attack was carried out by six citizens who came from Central Asia. Some of them operated under aliases.
Investigators also provided information about who prepared the attackers. According to Russian law enforcement agencies, the individuals suspected in the terrorist act are Tajik citizens Dalerjon Mirzoyev, Saidakram Rajabalizoda, Shamsiddin Fariduni, and Muhammadsobir Fayzov, who underwent training abroad. All four suspects have been detained.
Detained and wanted individuals
According to the Investigative Committee, 19 individuals are currently detained on charges of organizing and carrying out the terrorist act. They face several charges, including assisting terrorists in renting housing, providing transportation and weapons, and financing terrorist activities.
Additionally, there are still unidentified individuals involved. The Investigative Committee announced that several other defendants are wanted.
Security measures have been intensified in Russia
Following the terrorist act at 'Crocus City Hall', the Russian government has intensified security measures. Surveillance in public places has increased, and additional measures are being implemented in the fight against terrorism.
At the same time, Russian officials have not provided detailed information about the "unfriendly state" behind this terrorist act. So far, there have been no official international responses regarding this issue.
