Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has announced that he does not intend to declare a state of emergency in response to the mass protests occurring in the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by Serbia's official news agency RTS. The President emphasized in his addresses that he has the right to take necessary measures to maintain public order, but a state of emergency should only be used as a last resort.
According to him, the measures being implemented within the framework of the law serve to stabilize the situation in the country, and if they prove ineffective, a state of emergency may be imposed. At the same time, Vučić noted that he is ready to take strict measures to restore order.
If necessary measures are not taken in a timely manner, there is a possibility that crimes and unrest will escalate within a few days. Various disturbances have been observed in Serbia in recent days.
Attacks have been carried out on the buildings of opposition political parties, leading to a disruption of public order. According to reports, dozens of individuals have been detained as a result of these disturbances, and police officers have been injured.
Additionally, demonstrations by citizens supporting the government are also being held. The unrest and political discord pose a significant threat to the country.
However, this problem can be resolved through stable and firm measures. According to President Vučić, it is of great importance to implement the necessary measures to stabilize the situation in the country as soon as possible.
