
The Ukrainian government has successfully tested a new long-range "Flamingo" cruise missile. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The country's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced this during a meeting with journalists on August 20. According to the president, the "Flamingo" missile is considered one of the most effective and powerful projects in Ukraine's missile program.
According to DW, the missile's flight range is 3,000 kilometers. Zelensky called this achievement a major success in the country's defense sector.
He also stated that the missile's specifications will not be fully disclosed, and information will only be released after more than one hundred missiles are ready for operational use. Mass production of the missiles is planned to begin in December 2025 or early 2026.
The Ukrainian government hopes to significantly enhance its defense capabilities by developing this new weapon. This project is considered an important step in strengthening the country's security.
